Medical Advisor - Amyloidosis

We are looking for a skilled Medical Advisor, experienced in strategic planning and delivery of all medical affairs initiatives in a specific brand to support the local objectives.
The Medical Advisor is responsible for strategic partnering with in- and external stakeholders, by understanding and anticipating their needs and by translating these proactively into actions.
What will you do?
As a Medical Advisor you will be responsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZeneca’s products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute coordinated medical affairs plan and associated budget
- Proactively contribute to medical & clinical expertise and insights to the brand strategy, for the successful launch/prelaunch activities and life cycle management (LCM) of new & growth products
- Understand, anticipate, communicate and address data gaps and unmet needs of external stakeholders
- Act as medical reviewer for activities and promotional materials in accordance with compliance guidelines
- Collaborate closely with BU, market access, regulatory, medical information, patient safety and clinical trials unit
- Ensure scientific and medical accuracy of outgoing materials, research papers and other reports,
- Develop and improve professional relationships with HCPs/KEEs, professional societies and patient organisations
- Generate product related insights by regular peer to peer visits (40-50% time in field) and provides those to relevant internal partners
- Coordinate and conduct medical education, scientific exchange and advisory board meetings
- Define and deliver training on medical background of the product
- Evaluate ESR-proposals as part of L-REG and supports conduction according to achievements set
- Provide scientific and strategic feedback to the respective MSL activities
- Work closely with senior practitioners to develop the marketing direction of a brand in a local market
Essential:
- MD, PhD, or comparable degree in natural sciences
- Min. 2 years' experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry, preferentially as MSL or within Medical Affairs, experience within clinical research will also be considered
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
- Detailed knowledge of the local regulatory and market access requirements related to medical affairs activities
- High-level of scientific knowledge and ability to analyze and process clinical and scientific data
